Open Letter to Suzie:

Thank you for answering my call and forwarding my information. Unfortunately nobody did anything to correct the situation. Who loses? The guy that denied warranty service? Not likely.

How long have you been at Harley? 10 years? 20, 30? Probably get benefits like health insurance?
Maybe even built up a nice pension. And you think it's all sitting there for you when you retire.

Guess where the money for all those pensions and benefits come from? Right!!! The customers. And when profits fall, who pays? Do executives retire? They've got their pensions pretty well wrapped up. Look up "golden parachute" and see where it mention people at your level in the company.

While you have Goggle up, lookup "casual worker". I save you the time. Those are temps. They don't get benefits. They don't have contracts. They can be laid off and rehired as often as their bosses want. No two weeks in Disneyworld. Whose job could they get rid of and replace with 'casual workers'? How much are your benefits, pension, vacation and other perks worth? Any bells going off?

If your're in Milwaukee, take a walk around the plant parking lot. Lots of Harleys. Lots with 'For Sale' signs on them. Each one represents a new bike that won't get sold. And that wishlist that was going on the new bike. It can wait.

So when you think of whoever it was that denied my warranty, and you think "What a shame." You'll be absolutely right. But when you think further, I got screwed and they made a bundle off me. You cost them money.

What can you do?
